CWEA Website Accessibility Statement
CWEA is committed to equal opportunities for all and providing an accessible website that can be used fully and easily by everyone regardless of ability or disability. This accessibility statement refers to the website domain www.cwea.org.uk and describes what we have already done to make this website accessible and what we are doing to improve its accessibility in the future. CWEA also has a separate Equal Opportunities Policy that is available on request.
The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 requires that you take "reasonable measures" to ensure the accessibility of your website. We do this by seeking to attain the Priority 1 and Priority 2 requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
The guidelines that we aim to meet are:
1. Priority 1 requirements of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WCAG 1.0). (Level A compliance.)
2. As many Priority 2 requirements of the WCAG 1.0 as possible (Level AA compliance).
3. The best practice guidelines described in the British Standards Institution’s Publicly Available Specification 78 (PAS 78).
